Camp Description:

Improvers week is for everyone looking to improve technique, endurance and triathlon performance across all distances.  The weeks are designed for everyone and is a real mixed ability camp where you can learn from each other as well as the coaches.  These weeks, lead by Tri Camp’s experienced team cover all three disciplines plus more. With coached swim analysis sessions and videoing, open water practice and sighting skill work, guided rides taking in some of the best roads the island has to offer and brushing up on your run technique.  Improvers week is a safe, fun environment to grow and develop your triathlon proficiency. Perfect for individuals as well as friends or couples who might want to share the camp together but are differing abilities.  High coach to athlete ratio

WHAT’S INCLUDED

The price of this training camp is £799, included for that is:

  • 7 nights half board 
  • A structured, fully coached training program to follow throughout the week
  • Coached pool and open water swimming sessions with video swim analysis and one to one feedback

ITINERARY OVERVIEW: 

Our improvers weeks start with a day of doing a bit of everything for our coaching team to establish who we have on the week and how we will work with the group to make sure everyone on it gets the most out of the training we provide.  We are very used to mixed ability groups and have enough guides and coaches to offer split different paced groups on rides if need be.  We have a recovery day mid week and ride every other day with options on distances.  We swim two to three times in the pool and the same for open water swimming – some sessions are about distance and pacing others we focus on technique – they are all coached.  Running is done after several bike rides aswell as a technique session and optional longer off road circuit.  Transitions are also included towards the end of the week before we finish with a mini style triathlon on the last day.

WEEK HIGHLIGHTS

  • Fully supported bike sessions to showcase the island with varying routes to take in the mountains and flat lands

  • Coached pool and open water swims with video analysis to help improve stroke and efficiency (1-1 with coach for analysis)

  • Run sessions using varying terrain for speed work and intervals, beach drills and longer efforts and off the bike running

  • A fun mini triathlon (staggered) on the last day to practice everything learnt in the week

  • A series of informal talks that will complement the training schedule, covering a wide range of subjects to cater for all abilities.

  • A chance to ask the coaches questions both formally and informally – we are here to help you improve.

THE HOTEL  

The hotel is located in Port Pollensa which is made up of several beaches around a bay with lots of cafes and restaurants within walking distance.  The hotel itself is ideal for sports with good size rooms, a buffet style restaurant with a wide selection to suit all dietary needs, a leisure pool for dipping into after long rides as well as social areas to relax in.

ADDITIONAL INFO

  • Flexible payment options are available on request

  • To secure your place a non-refundable deposit of £250 per person is required (final payment due 10 weeks prior to arrival date)

  • Price based on two sharing a twin apartment style room – we will endeavour to pair you up if required 

  • Single occupancy is an additional £40 per night

  • Non athlete accompanying an athlete will receive a £100 reduction on the cost of a 7 night stay
  • Price based on half board accommodation (evening drinks not included)

  • Three sharing a room options are available on request

  • Flights, transfer and bike hire are not included (contact us or visit our FAQ page for help with these)
