Since 2010 we have been collecting reviews of our guests’ experiences of Challenge Tri Camp through optional questionnaires on camp as well as via our guest comment book. Not only does this let us see where we are succeeding, but it also enable us to continually improve & evolve ensuring we provide the best possible training experience for our guests. 

We are proud to say:

98% of our guests intent to return for another camp with us in the future and would recommend us to their friends.

Below are some of the many comments we’ve received and we hope this give you a flavour of what we are about from the mouths of the most important people to us….our guests.

 

What our guests think:

A fantastic week that exceeded my expectations. It would have been ‘brilliant’ but became ‘exceptional’ due to the personalities and knowledge of the coaches and of course the support staff.  Great team you all are and thanks for having me.

Andrew, Nottingham (we knew Andrew from a workshop and loved having him on camp, he competes at a good standard in his age group and we enjoyed making him do some tough majorcan climbs!)

Fantastic week with Tri Camp crew, challenging rides, amazing food and excellent hospitality. Couldn’t think of a better way to spend my ‘vacation’.

Pav, Brighton (came to tri camp relatively inexperienced and more for a holiday! He completed 3 triathlons last season and is training for more now!)

I wanted to say what an amazing week I had at camp – it was honestly one of the best experiences I’ve had and I’ve been getting the buzz all over again every time I’ve been banging on about it at work today to anyone who would listen! I had my reasons for coming but one of them was that triathlon had stopped being fun for me – originally starting out with my friends was great so it was awful when I was suddenly training alone and not seeming to get anywhere. The week with you guys made me really enjoy training again and realise that you can mix serious training with having fun at the same time as being focused. Everything about the week was perfect – varied and testing training schedule, perfect mix of downtime, flexibility and work, great food and hospitality, fabulous house and brilliant advice. Oh, and the coaches weren’t too bad either ?

What a week!!! What can we say? We’ve been so spoiled all week. Totally exceeded our expectations from start to finish. The food, training, company, house, everything. I was certainly nervous beforehand but learned so much and gained a huge amount of confidence. Can’t wait to come back!

Andrew, Dorset (came with a goal to learn and not miss a session all week and he achieved this - that was 2014, we saw him return in 2015 a leaner figure and a triathlon fanatic - such a great feeling helping someone along their journey)

Hi Tri Camp! Hope the final week of camp is going well.  Really missing it, I was very sad to leave.  I made some great friends and I can’t thank you all enough for a very well organised (thanks to you) holiday at an amazing venue with great facilities (training pool and dessert options on the top of the list!).  The training provided me with extremely valuable knowledge and experience and has done wonders for my confidence! I can’t wait to book my next triathlon! Please pass on my thanks to Mike and Brent who are amazing coaches and have the patience of saints!!!! Ella

Ella, London (her first proper training holiday was with us in October 2015 - she was like a duck out of water to start with but soon got into it and made massive gains - she has booked ona gain in 2016 and cant wait to see how a winter of training has helped her, she also ate the most food out of all the guests!)

Dear Tri Camp Team, what a wonderful week full of new challenges & conquests. Had a blast and you were all so supportive. Good luck with the rest of the season – I will be singing your praises to everybody!

Tim, Watford (has been to Challenge Tri Camp twice now with his wife and both times brought a friend along as well, its there holiday so they stick together in the sessions but he is in training for some tough events in 2016 so enjoys going on his own in the fast group for the bike sessions (his words!))

Thank you so much again for a really wonderful week! It was even better than 2013. Our club really loves staying here and we will be back in 2015. Accommodation, food, coaching and sunshine are all fab and we all gained so much – whether it be how to corner, go up or downhill, swim in the sea or just swim in a straight line! And we made a new word “Updulating”. Once again- thanks!

I only came to keep hubby company but WOWHA! Can’t praise you all highly enough and will recommend you to anyone who’ll listen!

Belinda, Weston Supermare (a pleasure to have on camp and although as she says she is coming for her husband she joins in with the rides and gets stuck in to all the sessions, even open water without a wetsuit in early March!)

I have come with my triathlon club (Windrush) 4 times now and we absolutely love what Challenge Tri Camp offer and do for us.  They offer a 5 star experience and every year have made it fun, varied and challenging.  Managed are ever changing group very well splitting us into groups so everyone get a good ride and is not waiting around for others.  This year we had some total novices with us and with some prior planning (they were great pre camp in talking to us as a club to make sure they offered us a week tailed for all out members) the schedule was planned so we could split into groups for our rides but still meet up at café’s and do swim and run sessions together.  The week once again was fantastic and everyone had a great time.  Food unbelievable and plenty of it even for the younger lads who never stopped eating! We will be back for more in 2016 so more of the same please.

Firstly and most importantly thank you for a truly fantastic holiday/training week. We both really enjoyed ourselves and are sad now that we are back in the cloudy wet uk. But happy in our hearts that we had the opportunity to spend the week at Tri Camp and to meet you, Tom and the rest of the team. We have nothing but positive feedback to send to you to the point of it was our best holiday/break away we have ever had together.

Cant wait to come back, what a great holiday – leaving tired but well fed, motivated and more like a triathlete than when I arrived!! Great meeting all the staff and fellow campers and a great laugh as well as learning experience. 10 out of 10 as I said on my feedback form.

Maggie, Uxbridge (quiet to start with but found her voice after the first day when she was telling us she could not ride anymore....she did and achieved a lot in the week. She recently told us since camp she has completed two sprint triathlons and looking to do more in 2016)

I came to Challenge Tri Camp as a relatively experienced triathlete and wanted to get a large volume of bike miles in for my Kona preparations.  The group was mixed so we had a split which worked out well I think for everyone and I had a great time and enjoyed being looked after when not training.  I was not going to attend the transition practice as thought I knew how to do this and it was not needed for Ironman training.  I was persuaded and was so pleased I did the session as the coaches helped me improve what I thought I had already mastered – little did I know I was doing it wrong!

Just wanted to say thank you for such a wonderful week at Challenge Tri Camp.  Honestly, it was one of the best trips I’ve been on.  Never been anywhere with such a diverse group of people and your set up is perfect.  Absolutely brilliant. Lucy Gossage,Pro Ironman athlete (been on camp with us twice and has got lots and lots of miles done - we feed and watered her along the way and she loved the mountains. Some great stories about her ironman successes as well for the fellow guests to listen too)

This was our third time coming to camp which we think speaks for itself.  We have encouraged friends to come with us this time and they are enjoying it just as much as us.  Every time we have visited the group has been fantastic and you manage everyone so well.  We enjoy the set up you have and the training works well for both of us being different abilities, well Pete being much better than me! Thanks gang, so pleased I cracked the climb this year as well – great encouragement and loved my award from you guys – will take pride of place at home!

Pam and Pete, Stoke (these guys are great, paramedics and TA volunteers they love being active and getting stuck in. A married couple of different abilities that we split apart for certain sessions but made sure they got to meet up in café’s during the rides (which Pam wasn’t pleased about – see wanted a break from Pete apparently!)

Just wanted to say thank you for helping me not only logistically for the race but also from a mental standpoint.  I came to the race in good shape but the extra things you did for us during the two days before it (such as the recce sessions, detailed talks, top course tips and generally making sure we were all ok and well rested) got me to the start line in the best position I could have hoped for.  Thanks and cant wait to join you on a training camp in the future.
