Camp Description:

A week designed for those targeting racing at Sprint or Olympic distance events or about to do their first one or have done a few and want to improve.  Designed to get you fine tuned and prepared for the start line with equal time spent on all three disciplines to master technique, efficiency and importantly speed for these shorter distances.  

 

WEEK HIGHLIGHTS

  • Designated speed and strength sessions to work on short distance racing across all three sports

  • Coached open water swims with options to practise all swim starts, exits and sighting techniques

  • Run speed interval sessions and hill reps

  • Short multiple brick sessions for swim to bike and bike to run with varying distance and intensities! We’ll keep them a surprise!

  • Coaching advice on practical skills such as running fast off the bike and how to pick an event and train for it

  • Basic bike maintenance tips and training

  • Transition master class – multiple times through the week to guarantee you have it nailed!

  • Time trial and fun mini triathlon to put into practise what learning

ITINERARY OVERVIEW: 

The week is not like one of our traditional training camps where we get out on longer bike rides and explore the island.  The camp is designed to work on speed and adapting the body for hard efforts to improve your Sprint and Olympic race pace.  Don’t get us wrong we will have some days out on the bike to take in the local scenery but half the rides will be short, hard and specific!  Run wise we will be saving the legs for the hard run efforts and brick sessions but will include a few early morning light jogs into the schedule.  Swim sessions (four or five through the week) will be about developing speed while holding technique and be in both the pool and open water. 

THE HOTEL – FOUR STAR****

The hotel is located 2 minutes walk away from the local beach and sand dunes and on the run route for the Majorca middle and long distance triathlons.  The camp accommodation includes high standard en suite half board rooms in our beautiful 4 star hotel.  All rooms are apartment rooms which include a twin bedroom with separate living/dining room and kitchenette. Most rooms face out on to the main pool area or across the nature reserve.  The hotel includes a 25 metre outdoor heated swimming pool, an indoor gym and full spa facilities with hot and cold therapy baths.  Food at the hotel is a buffet style breakfast and evening meal with a large selection and choice to suit everyone’s needs.  Inside and outside eating areas are available as well as an adult only dining area.

ADDITIONAL INFO

  • Flexible payment options are available on request

  • To secure your place a non-refundable deposit of £250 per person is required (final payment due 10 weeks prior to arrival date)

  • Price based on two sharing a twin apartment style room – we will endeavour to pair you up if required 

  • Single occupancy is an additional £40 per night

  • Non athlete accompanying an athlete will receive a £100 reduction on the cost of a 7 night stay
  • Price based on half board accommodation (evening drinks not included)

  • Three sharing a room options are available on request

  • Flights, transfer and bike hire are not included (contact us or visit our FAQ page for help with these)
