Camp Description:

Whether its running form, swim style or cycling technique you’re looking to work on, our technique week will do just that! Build strength essential for triathlon, ensure your form is correct to prevent injury and straighten out those bad habits under the guidance of our expert coaches. This camp is designed for everyone, whether novice or experienced in triathlon, our friendly, fun and inclusive environment ensures you improve across all three disciplines. With a high coach to athlete ratio, there is plenty of opportunity to ask questions and get advice from the team. We’ll cover all three disciplines and more, from coached videoed swim analysis sessions, open water practice and sighting skill work, you’ll take in some of the best roads the island has to offer from the saddle and brush up on your running form. Perfect for individuals as well as friends or couples who might want to share the camp together, but are of differing abilities.

The price of this training camp is £699, included for that is:

ITINERARY OVERVIEW: 

Our technique weeks start with a day of doing a bit of everything for our coaching team to establish who we have on the week and how we will work with the group to make sure everyone on it gets the most out of the training we provide.  We are very used to mixed ability groups and have enough guides and coaches to offer split different paced groups on rides if need be.  We have a recovery day mid week and ride every other day with options on distances.  We swim two to three times in the pool and the same for open water swimming – some sessions are about distance and pacing others we focus on technique – they are all coached.  Running is done after several bike rides as well as a technique session and optional longer off road circuit.  Transitions are also included towards the end of the week before we finish with a mini style triathlon on the last day.

WEEK HIGHLIGHTS

  • Learn the best ways to pedal, climb mountains, descend safely and effectively as well as enjoying all the varying terrains and sites that the cycling routes of Majorca have to offer
  • Learn more about training with your sports watch and other gadgets you may use to help improve performance
  • Benefit from coached pool and open water swims with video analysis to help improve stroke and efficiency (1-1 with coach for analysis)
  • Run sessions using varying terrain for speed work and intervals, drills on the beach, longer efforts & runs off the bike
  • A fun mini triathlon (staggered) on the last day to practice everything learnt in the week
  • A series of informal talks that will complement the training schedule, covering a wide range of subjects to cater for all abilities.
  • A chance to ask the coaches questions both formally and informally – we are here to help you improve.

THE HOTEL – FOUR STAR****

The hotel is located 2 minutes walk away from the local beach and sand dunes and on the run route for the Majorca middle and long distance triathlons.  The camp accommodation includes high standard en suite half board rooms in our beautiful 4 star hotel.  All rooms are apartment rooms which include a twin bedroom with separate living/dining room and kitchenette. Most rooms face out on to the main pool area or across the nature reserve.  The hotel includes a 25 metre outdoor heated swimming pool, an indoor gym and full spa facilities with hot and cold therapy baths.  Food at the hotel is a buffet style breakfast and evening meal with a large selection and choice to suit everyone’s needs.  Inside and outside eating areas are available as well as an adult only dining area.

ADDITIONAL INFO

  • Flexible payment options are available on request

  • To secure your place a non-refundable deposit of £250 per person is required (final payment due 10 weeks prior to arrival date)

  • Price based on two sharing a twin apartment style room – we will endeavour to pair you up if required 

  • Single occupancy is an additional £40 per night

  • Non athlete accompanying an athlete will receive a £100 reduction on the cost of a 7 night stay
  • Price based on half board accommodation (evening drinks not included)

  • Three sharing a room options are available on request
