Having ‘dabbled’ in sprint Triathlons for the last 3 years, with the support of my Tri club coaches and friends, I decided to enter the Cotswold 113. Attending this Challenge Tri Camp was part of my plan to see how far I could actually push myself. I have to say that it has been invaluable in my development both psychologically and physiologically. The coaches were really supportive throughout the week and they helped me to make some very important changes to my technique; I found the swim analysis particularly helpful and informative. I overcame feelings of significant fatigue to train hard again day after day and I now feel more confident in my ability to succeed. I definitely recommend this camp and this company. Thank you Team Challenge Tri Camp, I do hope I will do you proud in my 2019 race season.read more

My top reasons why i’ll be returning to a TriCamp 1. I was encouraged to physically and mentally push myself 10x harder than I would training alone 2. The hotel is absolutely PERFECT for sport lovers with its private equipped bike garage, 25m saline pool and free laundry 3. The coaches train elite athletes so I really felt the depth of their expertise. Plus their advice was tailored to each individual- nothing felt cookie-cutter 4. That endless buffet.....dreamy! 5. Each training session is imaginative, fun, challenging and you get to really drink-in Mallorca 6. If you rent a bike it’s hanging serviced and ready in the garage- the key is waiting at reception 7. There’s rollers in the gym, icebaths and saunas in the spa and ice for injuries 8. The people- 14 strangers to 14 friends in a week Thank you Brent, Helen, Mark and Bernat- you really gave 100%read more

I had an amazing week with challenge Tri Camp in Mallorca. I have improved myself a lot in cycling. Coaches were always next to us, they are all very nice and they never leave you behind:-) . We trained the 3 sports: swimming (even with recorded video to correct the technic) , with wetsuit in the pool and in open water. Cycling in different routes (hills, time trial,...), running techniques (stairs, trail,...), core lessons... , a very completed triathlon week adapt to all levels. The coaches are wonderful!! Thanks to Mark, Bernat, Brent and Helen for your advices and professionalism !! All the triathletes were also great, we spent a very good time all together and I Look forward to seeing you soon in challenge tri camp!!take care, Best regards, Victoriaread more

The coaching and feedback are brilliant and I have got so much faster from taking it all on board! Facilities, hotel and food are all great and I have spent a week with a lovely bunch of like minded people each time. I'm already booked on for 2019 and am looking forward to it!read more

Challenge Tri camp was my first experience of a triathlon training camp and I can honestly say I couldn’t have had a better experience. The coaches are professional welcoming and really take the time to get to know your needs and plan accordingly. I enjoyed my first week so much I booked a second week and plan to go back next year. I learnt a lot and improved in all three disciplines and can say the camp definitely contributed to my improved performance this season. Special thanks to Nick who spent time in the sea giving me one to one coaching to help me get over my fear of open water and also Jacqui who helped me get more confident in group bike riding in Mallorca and Kat who beasts me on a daily basis 😁read more

I went to swim camp this year and have booked again for next year. Hotel, food, bike garage, pool and rooms all high standard. I like to train a lot and the days were full. 2 coached swims and a bike ride most days plus a few runs and some stretching and core in the mix as well., the good thing is, if you want more free time, you can miss sessions without judgement. The quality of coaching was excellent. As a mediocre swimmer I went to camp with two goals, a step change in my swim times and to overcome my fear of the sea. Both goals achieved. On the last sea swim I did a full 70.3 distance swim and my pool 400m time improved by 21 seconds in the week and a further 14 seconds within a month of getting home and putting all I had learned into practice. My stroke was unrecognisable from the video at the start of the camp. I sat with the coach and made sure I wrote down all the coaching points for my particular stroke issues...he was very patient! But it meant I went home with an armoury of drills to practice. I also came away much more confident at group riding and with some fabulous new friends to follow on Strava Highly recommended whether you are looking for a holiday with the added bonus of coached sessions, or as in my case some serious training and coaching in the sunshine or somewhere in between...All are catered for. I loved it. A fabulous fun break doing all the things I love doing with a great set of peopleread more

I did the Middle distance camp in April. I am new to triathlons and being my first camp I was initially a bit nervous to go on my own and about the level required but it was all dispelled in the first 24hrs! The camp is organised to cover different abilities and the coaches and fellow athletes were awesome. I came away with great advice and new friends. MEET THE COACHES

Brent Perkins
Joint Head Coach
Challenge Tri Camp

I began my sporting career as a runner before moving into triathlon, and haven’t looked back since. I have competed in races of all distances all over the world including multiple Ironmen and 70.3s I also hold age group titles and have raced at both ITU World and ETU European level. I have previously coached and delivered training camps for Team GB Age Group triathletes working towards team selection as well as athletes looking to achieve more varied goals, such as becoming a first time Ironman finisher. I have a natural empathy with Age Group athletes who are trying to balance the demands of our sport with a hectic work lifestyle and with limited amounts of time to train. Getting results is a key Challenge Tri Camp coaching principle so I work very closely with my athletes to prepare for the race. As a qualified coach, and a British Triathlon Team Manager, as well as a Certified Training Peaks Coach, I draw on lessons learnt and my experiences over two decades in running, multi-sports, cycling and swimming to help guide my athletes to achieving personal Swim, Bike, Run and Triathlon goals. I am a strong believer in communication with my athletes, so I do not limit contact. I look forward to working with you.

Nick Dunn
Joint Head Coach
Challenge Tri Camp

After winning my second age group World Championship Gold medal in 2013 I knew I wanted to finish my racing days on a high and focus on coaching. I knew it was time as I was more interested in helping others than my own sessions towards the end of my training days and I have not looked back since. I get more from coaching and seeing others achieving their goals than I did when racing! I have been fortunate enough to have worked with some great people from complete beginners to professionals. I have helped guide people to their first events as well as recently in 2016 coaching two athletes to Age Group World Champion status. As well as coaching on Challenge Tri Camps triathlon training camps, I offer coaching on a one to one basis and online working closely with my athletes to make sure they have a bespoke programme. All of my bespoke coaching programmes are designed to the Challenge Tri Camp principles of coaching. These programmes although I plan them are a joint effort between me and the athlete and my job is to ensure it works for them, is realistic but also achievable and fun.

Kat Berry
Lead Coach
Challenge Tri Camp
With a background in competitive swimming I took up triathlon after ‘retiring’ from swimming, quickly found a new passion and the move into coaching was a natural progression. I have British Triathlon Federation, IronMan and level 3 PT qualifications, and I am studying for a post-grad diploma in sports nutrition. I have competed at GB age group level for many years,  I have won medals at World and European Championships, on top of working full time, so. As a result I fit my plans to each individual’s available time, goals and circumstance, using the Challenge Tri Camp coaching process. I’ve been through it all myself wondering how to fit in training for 3 sports, working out what kit to buy when there are 10 makes of each item you want, the nerves before race day, the feeling of being like a fish out of water in transition the first time and the great feeling you get crossing the finish line. I have a great passion for helping people improve, set aspirational goals and achieve them.

Mark Redwood
Lead Coach
Challenge Tri Camp
I have a lifelong love of triathlon and have been racing since the early 1980’s when my dad got me interested. I started at sprint distance, gaining my first GB kit as an elite junior in Manchester 1993. I’ve raced championships at all distances, highlights being the World 70.3 and Kona Championships. I have also spent a number of years guiding blind triathlete Tim Reddish and helped him achieve 2 World Championship wins. With over 20 years of experience racing triathlon, I have seen our sport grow and evolve. I have extended my coaching knowledge working alongside Challenge Tricamp Coaches, learning and understanding the coaching method and ethos that is Challenge Tricamp Coaching. I now work full time within the triathlon sector coaching exclusively for Challenge Tricamp. I am also an expert fully trained bike fitter and Cytech bike technician. I really find it rewarding to pass on my triathlon knowledge, and to see people achieve their goals and do events they might not have thought possible. As a Challenge Tricamp Coach, I am honest, approachable and focused on helping you get the best from yourself, I want you to enjoy your training and development process as well as the satisfaction of crossing the finish line on race day.

Jacqui Phillips
Lead Coach
Challenge Tri Camp
I started my adult sporting life as a competitive cyclist, who also loved to run, so when looking for a new challenge, triathlon seemed the obvious next step. I soon realised I absolutely loved it and have never looked back. I now have 10 years of training and racing experience, with the last 5 years as a qualified triathlon coach. I have raced at all distance from Sprint to 70.3 and since 2010 I have been a regular member of the GB Age Group team, winning numerous European and World championship medals. During this time, I have been coached by Challenge Tricamp who have helped me reach my goals and now I enjoy being able to help others reach their very best potential with Challenge Tricamp Coaching. As part of Challenge Tricamp Coaching I have developed my skills as part of an expert team, both on a one-to-one basis in the UK and at the Challenge Tricamp Mallorca training camps. Having raced and trained whilst working and raising my family, I understand how hard it can be to fit quality training into a busy lifestyle. I always work closely with my athletes to create challenging coaching plans that really work for them, and get great satisfaction from seeing their hard work turning into success.
