BASE TRAINING WITH CHALLENGE TRI CAMP

Challenge Tri Camp have designed our Base Training Camp to work for all athletes, whether you are a beginner, intermediate or BTF Age Group Triathlete. A Biking focused week and on one of the best places in the world to do it! As we all know Mallorca is a cycling mecca and at this time of year we are likely to come across the pro teams riding around the lanes we use…if its good enough fro them!!! With smooth roads which are relatively vehicle free at this time of year its perfect timing for some long steady rides to build some endurance, however we will throw in lots of variety to choose from.  We have different paces and groups to ensure all levels are catered for. We use the onsite 25 metre outdoor heated for swim technique and skills sessions and the sea, which is only 200 metres from the hotel, for endurance and race practice. This camp is all about cycling but with a 25 metre heated swimming pool, a fully equipped gym and spa facilities there is lots of options for some cross training and chill out time! Early season, warm weather training at its best! 

This 7 night camp is based from our 4* sports hotel in Playa De Muro, Mallorca, with half board meal plan. The hotel offers an onsite 25 metre heated outdoor pool, fully equipped gym, secure bike garage and spa with hot and cold therapies. 

Bike: All athletes are assessed on Day 1 to establish riding strengths and skills and grouped accordingly. Rides are varied by terrain and distance, rolling flats and mountain rides from 50k to 100k. We operate a no-drop policy so no athlete gets left behind.

Run: Brick runs, drills and technique work, and tempo runs are guided by our coaches. These sessions can be either road or off road and are suitable for all athletes.

Swim: The week includes a one to one swim video analysis with feedback so that you can work on your technique during the coached pool and open water swim sessions

Strength and Core: Most days finish with a strength or core session to complete your training day. These sessions are designed to complement the training effect for the day.

Coaching: Challenge Tri Camp provide a high coach to athlete training ratio with the opportunity for one to one sessions to work on your individual requirements.
