The swim at Garmin Challenge Herning takes place in beautiful Lake Fuglsang. A big lake on the outskirts of Herning which is often used by locals during the summer. We can guarantee a great and calm swim without any jellyfish.
When you hit the bike course at Garmin Challenge Herning, you will experience the countryside at its best. First, you ride southward on small roads through small towns and forests. The course has some rolling hills but switches to flat landscape with farms and fields as far as the eyes can see. You hit many straight roads where you can really push the watts! The bike Course is a true route for hammertime! The Garmin Challenge Herning bike course is a relatively flat course with less than 500 altitude metres across the entire course. All altitude metres consist of rolling hills, so no big climbs but these hills can, for some, prove challenging if it’s windy. At the same time, we have kept all sharp turns to a minimum so you can maintain a stable and high speed. When you participate in this race, it is most important to make sure you feel safe. There are around 200 volunteers every year who guide you through the bike course. This means that as an athlete you can feel safe and get the best racing experience on the day.
The Garmin Challenge Herning run course is designed to give you the best experience. You will run on a flat straight path, running over a steep walkway, as well as long stretches where you can concentrate on your race. One of the recurring features on the run course is Herning Library, which has about 200 metres of runway every year that takes you through the library’s lobby. This creates a completely unique experience, where you as a participant will constantly experience something new. At the end of the race you will find a true city party as you cross the finish line. In the after race area, we have provided changing and shower facilities along with plenty of food, so you can quickly recover after the race.
