After attending the improvers camp at Mallorca, I can highly recommend a Challenge Tri training camp. The jam-packed week was well structured which gave great training to everyone in the group. The friendly coaches were helpful and encouraging making sure everyone had tough but enjoyable sessions. Cycling on the island was amazing, the smooth roads through the scenic countryside and up the fantastic climbs made the kilometres fly by. This was my first training camp experience and it surpassed all of my expectations. I look forward to going back!

I had a brilliant week at Challenge Tri Camp! This was my first sports camp and I had been nervous that I would be surrounded by semi professional athletes but the group was a real mix, and the team of coaches catered brilliantly for every level of ability so no one was left feeling like they were holding anyone back or that they wouldn't get a good enough work out. If you are one of the serious triathletes, you will have a brilliant week of training; the opportunity to train all day every day with a professional team of coaches along side you. The coaches offer top class training and advice in all three disciplines, I ended the week feeling more confident in my own ability than ever before. The camp gave me the I train a lot in my day to day life and absolutely loved having the opportunity to get involved with every activity on offer during the camp, but it was always fine for people to sit out of activities if they needed a rest day or a couple of hours to themself. I have since signed up to a middle distance triathlon, bought a new bike and a new wetsuit....the camp has well and truly given me the triathlon bug!

First class bunch of coaches and 'competitors' last week on Challenge Tri Camp in Mallorca. Just the kick start I needed before my next 3 triathlons in FL in the coming weeks. Big thanks to Helen,Brent,Nick and Simon who were all faultless. Hotel, facilities and food second to none for a Tri-training week. Anyone thinking of giving it a go, don't hesitate. Brilliant week of training for husband and me. The hotel and facilities are really nice and the food lovely. Nick, Brent, Helen, Simon and Bernarde are excellent coaches, who really worked hard to ensure that every one had the best week possible. The weather was not great on a couple of days, but they managed to adjust the schedule and ensure that everyone still had a great time. I now have a lot more confidence in bike handling and my husband even joined in the swim sessions, despite having no previous swim experience and initially not wanting to even participate in the swims. We would both highly recommend Challenge Tri Camp and we hope to be able to return again soon.

This was my first triathlon camp and what an incredible week it was. The coaches are brilliant and prepare a carefully balanced act of some tough training and a lot of fun (I was travelling by myself and immediately felt part of the group). Before I arrived the longest I had cycled was 40km but found myself doing three times this distance, inspired and motivated by the coaches, group and incredible views. Thank you for a fantastic week. I will be back!

6/5 week! I really enjoyed the good spirit and training tips. Training was enough challenging and I was super motivated to train in advanced company. Rides were organized safely for 1st time group riders too. Super coaches! Hotel Viva was perfect base for triathlon-training!

Absolutely brilliant week with Challenge Tri Camp! They looked after everyone with great care, no matter what your fitness level or ability. All the coaches encouraged and supported you and made sure you got to the top of all the hills and back down again. Great set-up at the hotel too. I had thought this was probably a one-off holiday but I will definitely be going back. It’s also given me a kick start to get back to cycling. Cracking week in a beautiful part of the world with lovely people - couldn’t recommend it highly enough!

Wonderful week! I'm a slow (and often nervous) cyclist but the coaches were all unstintingly understanding, encouraging & supportive. Like Stuart this was my first ride of 100+ km & the coaches were with us all the way. Really friendly, well set up and positive. Will definitely be coming back! :-)

What a week I had with the help of the fanatic coaches during the week. I have now managed to swim 1K first time ever along with my first ever mountain ride starting going by going up Coll de Femenia then on up to Lluc, Two days later I can now say that I have rode over 100km and have been around a velodrome. At the end of the week I did my first Triathlon (non competitive) all be it a small one. They have also been understanding and very helpful with my anxiety issues that holds me back from doing things like this. With out the support for these guys and girls I would not have done any of these.

These camps are SO much fun!!!!! We had an amazing week with a coaching team who are highly experienced and knowledgable cyclists and an absolute bunch of legends. The coaching was of the highest standard as was the hotel and facilities. Helen’s hard work and organisational skills must be noted! She is an absolute star. I am no top level athlete, the camps are designed for all levels and every time I come I feel like I improve a great deal in such a short space of time and make loads of new friends in the process. I will be back on camp next year and I am already super excited! BOOK NOW!!!

I went to Challenge Tri Camp earlier in the year, it was my first time so I was nervous. The coaches were so supportive especially Simon who encouraged me up the climbs on the bike. I’ve always been nervous on the bike but with the great support & encouragement I exceeded my expectations, came home a much more confident cyclist, even now when I am doing a climb I think back to Tri camp and what I achieved there and that keeps me going. I met a great bunch of people who I am still in touch with & we are all meeting up soon. You learn so much in a week and make lots of new friends! It first rate, give it a try yourself!

You may want to build more strength, eat for a specific training routine or just make sure your body gets what it needs, whatever the reason, it’s never too late to make a difference and by doing so can have a great impact on your athletic performance.  We analysis of your current nutrition, review it using a food diary and then face to face or phone chat to work out a plan that works for you. Time – Approx 60 mins with coach

SESSION DETAILS

Nutritional advice is not just for people eager to lose a few extra pounds, it’s important that everybody has a balanced diet and eats correctly, however fit and healthy they are.  Food is fuel and if your body isn’t getting the right fuel, it won’t work the way it’s supposed to and can result in tiredness, mood fluctuations, decreased training performance and motivation and many other problems you don’t have to live with!

It’s about getting the right amounts from the different nutrient groups to meet whatever demands you have.  While we can help with short term aspirations, it’s all about long term solutions and improvements as well as looking at pre, during and post training nutrition routines.

What’s Involved

Step 1 – Analysis of your current nutrition – You complete a food diary, nutritional questionnaire and answer a few important questions with us.  Taking your lifestyle and current training factors into consideration, we can design a nutritional programme that is specific to you.  This is vital as depending on your size, weight and level of activity, everybody’s requirements are different.

Step 2 – Consultation.  With a full review of your diary done, we now discuss the 
essential food groups that you need and break down your food intake into nutrient categories, calculating the percentages you are currently consuming and comparing them to what you should be consuming. 

We also identify the positive and negative aspects of your food intake, working together to establish a plan that is realistic and achievable.  Calories, timing of meals, hunger and energy levels will be discussed along with any questions you may have.

At the end of the consultation you will receive a full report with recommendations, new objectives and snack and meal ideas to help you train and race more effectively.  Feeding your body the right things at the right time can and does improve performance.
